Our Story
Mettavisara Tools Online was created out of frustration with the fragmented state of online tools. Every task seemed to require a different website — and most of those websites demanded an account, showed intrusive pop-ups, had slow loading times, or were cluttered with confusing ads.
We set out to build one place with all the essential tools you need, designed to be as fast and clean as possible. By running everything client-side in the browser, we achieved something rare: a tool site that respects your privacy by default, because we genuinely cannot see your data even if we wanted to.
The name "Mettavisara" combines two ideas: metta — kindness, goodwill, and care for others — and visara — reach, spread, or sharing. Together it reflects our mission: sharing genuinely useful tools with kindness, without trying to extract value from you in return.
Today, Mettavisara Tools Online hosts 24 free tools across 6 categories, and we're adding more based on user requests and real everyday needs.
What Makes Us Different
Most "free online tools" websites quietly upload your data to their servers to process it. That means your private documents, images, and text pass through someone else's infrastructure — and you have to trust their word that it isn't being logged.
We chose a different approach. Every tool on Mettavisara Tools Online is built using the browser's own JavaScript engine and standard Web APIs. When you resize an image, the image is redrawn using your browser's Canvas API. When you generate a SHA-256 hash, the browser's built-in Web Crypto API does the work. Your data simply never leaves your machine.
This isn't just a privacy policy promise. It's a structural guarantee, built into how the tools work.
Our Tools at a Glance
How It Works
All our tools are built using vanilla JavaScript and standard browser APIs (Canvas API, Web Crypto API, FileReader API, URL API, and more). When you use an image resizer, your image is drawn to an HTML Canvas element in your browser — it never travels over the internet to a server.
When you generate a SHA-256 hash, the browser's built-in crypto.subtle.digest() function does all the work locally. The same principle applies to every tool on the site — text counters, JSON formatters, CSV converters, QR code generators, and the rest.
This approach means we can guarantee your privacy in a way that server-based tools simply cannot. It also means the tools are blazing fast — no network latency to worry about.
How We Keep the Lights On
Running a website costs money — domain fees, hosting, and time spent building and maintaining the tools. To cover those costs, we display ads on the site (through reputable networks such as Google AdSense) and never charge our users.
The ads never read the contents of your tool inputs. They are served based on the content of the page and standard, anonymous browser signals — never on the personal data you process through our tools.
